Goldsmiths MA Image and Communication students will present a diverse range of work, from video and photography to animation and interactive design produced by individuals from all over the world at an exhibition hosted by the Bargehouse Gallery, Oxo Tower, London. The private view and press night will take place on July 10 from 6 till 8.30.

Goldsmiths students have chosen this unique exhibition space for its varied environments which offer the perfect platform for their range of innovative and challenging new works. Spread out over four floors the gallery consists of crumbling decayed walls set alongside airy white-cube gallery spaces.

This years show is made up of students from many different countries including Andorra, Iraq, China, South Korea and the United Kingdom. Each student brings with them a different perspective and set of experiences, some having worked in the film or photography industry for years whilst others come from academic and artistic backgrounds. This show presents the work of people from many diverse cultures as well as the position of London as a meeting point and hive of creativity.

Work produced on the course includes both still and moving images, including many pieces which engage with the point at which these two meet and explore how duration affects image making. The course brings together the theoretical and creative foundation of a fine arts training with sound technical and process based skills. This allows students to develop their image making practice without the constraints of a limited technical vocabulary.

'This programme gives practitioners and theorists the opportunity to research and develop the new boundaries of image-making made possible by technological change within the context of post-industrial culture'- Nigel Perkins, course leader.

The exhibition is open from 11am-6pm on July 10th to July 13th.
